“Tell us something unique about your job?”

Goldcrest Post employees are an extraordinary group. They bring incredible drive, talent and professionalism to their individual roles. They perform in big ways and in ways you might not expect. Here are some of the remarkable things they do every day:

I never travel without a sound recording device, and I have recorded backgrounds and sounds from all over the world. I've made recordings in the fish markets of Japan, the suqs of Saudi Arabia, the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, on the streets of Colombia, all over Europe and Great Britain, and throughout the United States.  I use these sounds constantly in my work. It’s also such a great way to remember all these amazing places.

Mary Ellen Porto

Supervising Sound Editor

I like to do a dialogue-only pass to begin a mix. It gives me an opportunity to experience the storytelling without the influence of music and effects.  When you get those goosebumps hearing just the dialogue, you know you have something special.

Bob Chefalas

Re-recording Mixer

Something unique that I do is source the posters of sound projects we've worked on.  I coordinate getting them framed, and then work on the arrangements in the halls!

Nicole Tessier

Director of Sound

During the pandemic, I designed and built remote ADR rigs that we sent to actors’ homes. That allowed Goldcrest to continue providing high quality ADR recording.

Bob Troeller

Audio Engineer

Most clients don’t know that our delicious chocolate-dipped strawberries are created in-house with extra care by our client services team.

Colleen Cerzosie

Client & Creative Editorial Manager

I collect receipts. It’s an underappreciated but essential task. Receipts are how we know that the dollars and cents make sense!

Lauren Maukolo

Accounting Assistant

I ensure that media coming into and going out of the facility gets to the right people, is secure and stored properly. I follow strict protocols logging media, scanning for viruses, archiving and returning source material when a project is wrapped.

Bennie Deter

Vault & Data IO Manager

I’m the point person between Goldcrest and voice talent. Sometimes I’m the only person here that actors have contact with apart from our audio engineers. I handle special requests for food, tea and coffee, and anything else they need to feel comfortable and at home.
